Robots & sensors
Robots and sensors work on the same model.
Cleaning robots, sensors and lifts, on the same model of your hotel as everything else. A robot takes its jobs from a person, a schedule or a sensor, finds its way through your building, and waits while a guest is staying.

What robots do
A robot takes its jobs from the people and the rules you set.
- From a person
- Send a robot to a room from the room's record, or ask the Vabumi agent to send one.
- On a schedule
- The lobby and its corridors every two hours, from 08:00 to 20:00, on the days you choose.
- From a sensor
- A leak sends the nearest free robot, next in line, and its team is told.
- As one step of a room's checklist
- The attendant sends the floor to a robot and still holds the room.

Its routes come from your hotel's own model: through its doors, round its furniture, and between floors by lift. Between jobs it rests and charges at its dock.
What sensors do
A sensor answers a check, or sends a robot.
- It answers a check
- A fridge's sensor gives the reading when the kitchen's check opens. Only a reading outside the check's limit fails the step.
- It sends a robot
- When a floor reads wet, after every 150 people through the lobby, or when a value goes above or below the line you set.
- It keeps its readings
- The last day is drawn on its record, and every reading is kept for 90 days.

They work for your teams
Each machine works for a team that answers for it.
A robot works for one team, such as Housekeeping. It is never in a list of people and never counted as anyone's work. A job it cannot finish becomes a task for its team, at that place. An urgent job sent by a sensor tells the team at once.
Around your guests
A robot waits while a guest is staying.
A job in an occupied room waits, and starts by itself once the guest has gone. The one exception is the attendant in the room, who can send it for the floor. In your quiet hours no robot starts work; a job already started is finished.

Connecting your machines
Vabumi connects to your robots, sensors and lifts.
Vabumi connects to your machines through their makers' systems. Your robots and lifts appear on the model, your sensors on the things they watch, and the rest of Vabumi works the same: tasks, checks, the agent. Tell us what you have when you request a demo.
Your makers' systems
Robots
Cleaning and delivery robots, through their maker's own system.
Sensors
Leaks, temperatures and people counted.
Lifts
The lifts your robots ride between floors.
→ Vabumi

Robots and lifts on the model where they are now; each sensor on the thing it watches.
→ Your teams
Tasks
A reading out of its limits becomes a task for the team that fixes it.
Checks
A sensor answers its check by itself.
Piccolo
Ask where a robot is, or draft its next job.
↓ Each answers to a team
Every robot and sensor works for a team that answers for it. They are never counted as staff.
The details
- Follow a robot
- Press it on the model and the view follows it, floor by floor.
- Where it has been
- Show its trail, or the floor it has cleaned.
- Its queue
- Move a job up or down, start it now, or take it back.
- Battery and dock
- It goes back to charge, and says so.
- Lifts
- A robot calls the lift as it sets off. A person can call a lift too, or send it to a floor.
- Work with the agent
- "Send a robot to the lobby", "Where are the robots?", "Why did it go to the pantry?"
Questions
- Which robots and sensors work with Vabumi?
- They connect through their makers' systems. Tell us what you have in your demo request.
- Do robots clean around guests?
- Not while a guest is staying. A job in an occupied room waits until the guest has gone, unless the attendant in the room sends it.
- Who answers for a robot's work?
- The team it works for.
- What happens when a robot cannot finish?
- It gives the job back, and its team gets a task at that place.
- Can a sensor raise a repair?
- Yes. A leak sends a robot to the floor and a repair to Maintenance.
