Housekeeping

Rooms are ready when guests arrive.

A checklist made from what is in each room, an inspection that remembers what was found, and a status the front desk can trust, shown on the floor where the room is.

The day

A day in housekeeping, hour by hour.

From the first checkout to the last arrival.

  1. 06:00The plan is ready. Rooms are dealt floor by floor to the attendants on shift, each with its minutes worked out from what is in it
  2. 07:30A leak in 309 has reached the ceiling below. The head of housekeeping asks the Vabumi agent to take 309 and 209 out of order, and presses once
  3. 08:00Each attendant's rooms reach their phone, in order
  4. 10:40The guest in 311 checks out
  5. 11:20The attendant walks 311's checklist, made from what is in the room, and marks the hair dryer Not OK: "No heat", with a photo
  6. ↳ on Send nowOne task on the hair dryer, for Maintenance
  7. ↳ the floorA robot does the floor, and the attendant still holds the room
  8. 11:50Done. The room is clean and waits for its inspection
  9. 14:10The room is inspected against the same list. The hair dryer, swapped at 13:05, is marked put right, and the room is ready
  10. 15:00The front desk sees 22 arrivals and two rooms not ready yet, at the hotel's check-in time

The next morning

A room nobody finished yesterday is closed in the new plan, and today's clean says which one it answers for.

Who does what

The head of housekeeping

Sees every room on the rack and on the model, changes the plan, and has the Vabumi agent take a room out of service with one press.

Attendants

Their rooms in order on their phone. They walk each room's checklist, mark only what is not OK, send it when they are ready, and can send the floor to a robot.

Whoever inspects

You decide who. They walk the same list, see what was found, and mark it put right, still not OK, or accept the room as it is.

The front desk

Sees which rooms can be given out, and which arrivals are still waiting for theirs.

Maintenance

Gets what was found, on the thing that is broken.

The manager's screen

This is every room, floor by floor.

Housekeeping › Rack beside the model. Each room's state on its tile and on its floor.

The details that matter

One status per room
The rack, the front desk and the model show the same state.
OK unless marked otherwise
Every step starts as OK. An attendant marks only what is not.
Ready is your rule
A room is ready when it is clean, or only once it is inspected. You choose, and every screen follows.
Without a booking system
A manager enters the day's departures, and the plan is made from them.
Made from the room
Each checklist is built from what is in that room, area by area: bedroom, bathroom, balcony.
Your own standards
Departure and stayover standards, kept in your settings.
Minutes from the room
The plan's time for each room comes from what it holds.
Yours until you send it
A finding stays the attendant's note until they press Send now or Done.
An inspection that remembers
What was found is shown on its step, and the room waits until it is put right or accepted as it is.
Out of service
With a reason and an end date, seen by the front desk and the booking system.
Nothing falls between days
A room not finished today is picked up in tomorrow's plan.
On the model
Each room's state on its floor, and each checklist step on its thing.
Robots on the floor
A step can be done by a cleaning robot, sent from the checklist.
